Greenstone flew to Scotland to attend the Edinburgh Women's Fiction Festival in Edinburgh held on 27th and 28th September.
It was a busy couple of days and one of the highlights was an agent speed-dating event where we got the chance to speak to 24 different writers. We discussed plot, voice and all things related to their submission package after reading a cover letter and, the thing that all writers dread writing, the synopsis.
We selected two winning writers from our 1-2-1 sessions to have a 30-minute call with us to talk about their work in more detail.
Greenstone were proud to support the event by donating a bundle of signed books kindly gifted by our authors.
There was time to attend a talk by Maggie O'Farrell in conversation with Jenny Brown, discussing the memorable books that had most influenced her life and her writing.
We were also lucky enough to attend a drinks evening at the beautiful Edinburgh Bookshop at their new premises where we caught up with some Greenstone authors who were attending and spotted some other of our favourites on the bookshelves!
